Travel Information

Mongolia is one of the last truly untouched travel destinations in the world, known for its vast open landscapes, nomadic culture, and unique way of life. From the endless steppe to the dramatic Gobi Desert and the pristine waters of Lake Khovsgol, every region offers a completely different experience.

The best time to visit Mongolia is between May and September, when the weather is warm and ideal for outdoor travel. Summer temperatures range from 20°C to 35°C, while evenings can be cooler, especially in the countryside. Mongolia operates on GMT+8 time zone, and the local currency is the Mongolian Tugrik (MNT).

While internet access is available in cities, connectivity can be limited in remote areas — giving you a perfect opportunity to disconnect and fully enjoy nature.

Most travelers arrive in Mongolia through Ulaanbaatar (Chinggis Khaan International Airport). There are direct international flights from major cities such as Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul, Tokyo, and Frankfurt.

For destinations within Mongolia, such as the Gobi Desert or Bayan-Olgii, domestic flights are available and can significantly reduce travel time. However, many travelers choose overland journeys to fully experience Mongolia’s landscapes.

Your accommodation will be a combination of modern hotels in Ulaanbaatar and traditional ger camps in the countryside.

A ger (yurt) is a traditional Mongolian dwelling used by nomadic families for centuries. Tourist ger camps are designed for comfort while maintaining authenticity. Each ger typically includes beds, clean bedding, and a stove for heating when needed.

Facilities such as showers and toilets are usually shared and may vary depending on location. Despite being simple, staying in a ger is often the highlight of the trip, offering a truly unique cultural experience.

Traveling in Mongolia is an adventure in itself. Most roads outside the city are off-road or unpaved, which is why we use reliable 4WD vehicles designed for these conditions.

All tours include a professional local driver, and for international travelers, an English-speaking guide can be arranged. Long driving distances are common, but the journey is part of the experience — with breathtaking views and photo opportunities along the way.

Mongolia’s weather can change quickly, so it’s important to be prepared. We recommend packing:

  • Comfortable walking or hiking shoes
  • Warm layers (even in summer)
  • Windproof jacket
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • Hat or cap for sun protection
  • Personal medications
  • Power bank (limited electricity in remote areas)

Traveling light but smart will make your journey much more comfortable.

To secure your booking, we require a deposit in advance, with the remaining balance payable before arrival or at the start of the tour.

We offer flexible cancellation policies, but terms may vary depending on the tour and season. We always aim to be fair and understanding in case of unexpected changes.

For your convenience, we accept bank transfers and other agreed payment methods.

Mongolia is considered a safe and peaceful destination for travelers. Crime rates are low, especially in rural areas.

However, due to the remote nature of many destinations:

  • Always follow your guide’s instructions
  • Stay hydrated during long drives
  • Be respectful of local customs and nomadic families
  • Avoid wandering alone at night in unfamiliar areas

Your safety and comfort are always our top priorities.

We are a local travel team with deep knowledge of Mongolia’s landscapes, culture, and hidden gems.

  • Experienced and friendly team
  • Flexible and customized itineraries
  • Private and small-group tours
  • Authentic cultural experiences
  • Reliable service from start to finish

We don’t just offer tours — we create meaningful travel experiences that you will remember for a lifetime.
